My bike doesn't have quick release tires, so is there a way to fix them up to make them quick release?

I think he means that he has wheels which are bolt on, with nuts. And the simple answer if you have these is : no cannot make quick release, have to get a new hub (center part of the wheel) and get wheels rebuilt or get all new wheels.. ie big money

Wrong.
Solid axle hubs can often be converted to quick release by substituting a hollow axle. Sometimes the bearing cones need to be changed out as well. Trouble is, though, that a wheel with a solid type axle is usually of very low quality and probably not worth messing with. An LBS can help you determine this stuff.
Also, a new (quick release) wheelset is not necessarily expensive. You can pick up a serviceable entry-level set for $100 from an online retailer like Jenson, Wheelworld, etc..

I just had the front wheel of my daughter's bike converted to QR for about $20 + price of QR skewer by my LBS. As written above, it depends on the hub. Bring yours in to your LBS to find out.

I take back my words.... based on i've seen 95% of most bolt ons not being convertible due to the fact that the bolt on hub was so so low end that a compatible hollow axle was not an option. Maybe you have better experience.

You can get some Rhyno lite SunRims with deore hubs for 96 bucks of jenson.

A week is pretty good for not breaking lol.for me at least.
