Yes, preferred to have a road bike, but commuter or hybrid will do. We will be at around MCAS Miramar, I was planning to bring my own bike but airline is charging enormous amount of dough for a bike bag. A low ranking enlisted in the military doesn't get paid a lot mullah, you know.

One of the cheapest for road bikes seem to be http://www.bike-tours.com. My bro-in-law rented from them once and they were ok. Their bikes aren't as nice as Nytros though.
