Whats the difference between the two, on ebay there are ultegra 600’s and ultegra 6500’s

In the late 80's early 90's The component group right below Dura Ace was called Shimano 600. The ultegra moniker was added later on, and the ultegra 6500 is the most recent series.

I can't imagine there is much difference at all, except the 600 may be a dark gray, vs. the silver of the ultegra. They are both strong enough to lock a wheel with 2 fingers so get what ever is cheapest. I like the darker color of the 600 and have them on my current bike.
