I pulled the trigger on the power meter and went all out with the wireless. I built up a 24 whole hub with a dt swiss r 1.2 and some sapim cxrays. theres something satisfying about building wheels anyways. it works great (aside from the meter reading lower than it really should  no protour for me jus yet) and not dealing with wires keeps things looking clean.

Enjoy it. It's probably the best training aid you can purchase, other than a coach. I'd love one, but it's too expensive for me right now. I've ridden with a friend who has one and they're perfect for intervals. It's so much better to "ride at 310 watts for 60 seconds with 90 seconds rest" than to "ride moderately hard for 60 seconds with 90 seconds reset".

so far its great. my build up isn't exactly a climbing wheel. but it should be a good compromise between durable enough for training yet still raceable. I've had no issues with interference from either the hub or the heart rate. It also survived its first passing shower. so that's a promissing start as i've had friends with issues with water and heart rate on older powertaps. being new to powermeters the experience so far is eye-opening. i'm also very excited about not having to use the same hill and tt loop to know how my interval/progress is going. And finally I can actually compare sprints. faults so far is that its fairly heavy for something labelled SL, the price, and the hub measured cadence often looks off.

does the power tap show or record elevation changes???
