I've decided that I need to get away from the Northeast and find a new place to call home. I took 3 road trips around the country over the past two years and found Utah to be my favorite state.

Since being home from my last trip, it's been hell, I want to get back there like something fierce. The ideal place would be Moab, it was perfect and I had more fun there than anywhere else. Relocating seems like a difficult task, and one i've never attempted before. As much as I like Moab, the work available in the area seems a bit scarce. I'm looking at other areas, perhaps Provo or Orem, maybe anyone that lives out there could give me a few details on the areas.

Thanks! :)

Edit: I just realized I probably posted this in the wrong place, though it's the Mountain Biking folks that'd probably understand most!

Seer, i live in Highland utah, and work in Orem. Its not really "SE" in any way, about 3hrs from Moab. The mtn biking here is great, hundreds of miles of single track in your back door. Provo and Orem are very bike friendly, they have put in miles and miles of bike lanes in over the last few years. As a somewhat college town, rent is not always cheap, and pay is not always great...

If you have any questions, let me know... i'll answer what i can, i have called orem / provo my home for the last 13 years

Thanks for the info, sounds like a nice place to live. How about as far as being busy or crowded?

Apartments seem quite a bit cheapear than around here where you'd be lucky to find a half decent studio for under $800 a month. I'm looking more at the idea of a mobile home though, the pricing on them is nice considering you'll have your own place.

Finding work's going to be the hardest part, most places don't seem to want to talk to anyone from out of state. I'm willing to adjust though, so i'm keeping the table open to options.
