Does anyone know anything about these pedals?

Need pedals for new bike (arriving Saturday, will post pic) and have chance pf some cheap used Specialized SPD pedals. I am going for SPD for now as that is what I have on my existing bike and it will be cheaper than buying new shoes!

Cheers

John

PS: Will be posting again soon for advice on how to post pic!!!!

I have a set of Specialized spd pedals but dont use them anymore just due to the weight. They were really heavy. I got a new set from Performace just due to the weight of the other pedals. They worked fine as far as performance goes.

Are you all speaking of the specialized SPD SLs?

Not really, always struggle to clip in and out at junctions and lights etc, paraniod about falling off and making myself look a right pr*ck!!!!
I have adidas SPD shoes and if i buy new look pedals i will need new shoes. Long term i will change but cant afford at the mo due to new bike.
Aren't look pedals bad for knees though??? Not enough float or something???
I have bad knee thats all.... )-:

Look has 9 degrees. More than enough if you don't have a pre-existing knee problem. If you have problems that require more float, or float that has no return spring trying to push your foot to the center of the pedal, go with the Speedplay Zero.

I have osteoarthritis in my right knee so problem is already there.

Are speedplays SPD??

au contraire... if there's anything that's bad for your knees it's the SPDs!!! SPD pedals usually have NO float. And Looks have generous float.

Thanks mate, i didnt know that being an amateur, this whole "float" issue only became known to me yesterday following discussions with the guy i am buying the bike from.

Looking at pedals on ebay, loads of cheap Look type, these should be OK then I assume? (or at least better than the SPD I have now!!)

Cheers

John

PS: Do many SPD shoes take Look cleats?
