Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - how much should i price this bike for?

I want to sell this bike, hopefully locally on craigslist, but im not sure how much to ask for. I was thinking $350. Is that too much/little? Its nothing special, but im hoping to sell it to some n00b. Holla.

Weinmann DP 18s on fixed/free formula hubs
MKS road pedals with steel cages
White turbo saddle
most everything else is still original

I listed my Miyata conversion with Weinmanns and stock cranks, generic seat, etc. for $325, sold it for $300. Maybe list a little lower and sell around $300. Pretty clean ride, you might get some bites from someone just getting into fixed gear and not wanting to do the work themselves. g/l

Price it at $350 so you can get somewhere around the $300 range if you can find the right person. Good sharp pictures of any item is what usually helps me sell things on CL. Don't have CL host the pics, put them in photobucket and copy/paste the HTML code to the ad so they see big sized pics and you'll get more interest. Good luck.

I don't get buying a fixed - I think the whole point in having one is to have built it... But there are a lot of people out there to buy one, and that's a super-clean-looking ride. Price it at however much you want to get because you should be able to get it.

eh i wouldn't buy a conversion for 350 when i know i can buy a brand new kilo tt for the price imho

Go for $250. The Nishiki is worth around $100-150 and having the wheels avoids about $150.

Rationally, someone should pay $300-350, as they could not replicate it for less. But I would assume $250. People who want complete bikes buy new. People who want conversions convert.

$350 is lower than what was invested.

Why does everyone get so bent out of shape if a bike sells for more than they think it's worth? It's worth precisely what people will pay for it, and I'm guessing that's somewhere around $350, especially if you've got a big enough audience. Why on earth would you sell it for any less than people are willing to pay? That would only be unfair to you as the seller.

I wouldn't buy it, but that doesn't matter. If other people here think it's overpriced, they don't have to buy it either. So long as you're not misrepresenting anything in your description, make whatever you can off it and you can sleep well knowing you sold it fairly.

i just sold my 85 trek 560 w/ the same wheelset for 385, but i'm in NYC.
