I've had my Dahon Speed D7 for a month or so and am loving it. My only complaint is the pedals. I love how the fold but I can feel them flex when I stand on the pedals. What is a good replacement (not plastic)? Is there a website that caters to folders?

Anyone have this pedal? Any specific recommendation as to which model of the MKS pedals work well for commuting?

TIA

Me! Me!

I have that pedal!!

It folds, but it's slippery. I have a pair of cheap resin 'Union' folders on the Matrix which I prefer.

I replaced the plastic folding pedals on my MU P24 with removable MKS Promenade EZY ones. Good grip but sometimes the teeth poke my calves when I am not careful.

I use a pedal by 'Lyotard' similar to the Sylvan Tour. I've used them for 20 years and they're still great.

I also have the QR MKS Promenades which are good but did need to be adjusted and greased to rotate properly.

The metal cage touring pedals you posted (MKS Sylvan Tour) are great, but they don't fold. Just in case it wasn't clear.

I've been using the MKS Touring pedals, and I have the Grip Kings in reserve. Both are most excellent platform pedals. They can both be purchased here:

How much do you weigh? 180 doesn't flex these ones for me.

185 lbs. Those are nice pedals! I'm kinda bummed about losing the folding feature because I plan to take my bike on the trolley.

I use mrbrown's pedals + power grips

Most comfortable pedals ever. They're also 2-sided, so I can use the power grips w/ sneakers or other side with dress shoes.

I considered the FD6s shown above (the folding MKS alloys) but decided against them as they're too slippery
and don't save much width when folded.

I also have MKS sylvan streams on a road bike. But as has been pointed out, they don't fold.
Now, if only someone, somewhere has a non-QR promenade...

I use these basic Performance Bike pedals on my Dahon Single-Speed. They work very well.

They appear similar to those that come with Power Grips. I don't fold that bike, but they would likely work even if I did.
