Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Best thing to do is to go to the website for a particular manufacturer, like Trek for carbon, Cannondale for aluminum, and maybe Serotta for steel and read about the different materials. What you pick is going to be associated with the type of riding you want to do.
There is a huge amount of info available.

Do A search on this site. Lots of wisdom here. In my opinion titanium of a reputable name is the best. :D :p ;) :)
