Southwest - Tempe / Sedona Weather this weekend?

Hi........I need some local input. I am scheduled to drive out to Tempe this Fri-Saturday for a little fun in the sun and then head over to Sedona Sun-Monday. As I constantly check the forecast it shows nothing but Thunderstorms.........:( I had planned to take my daughter to a waterpark on Saturday but not amidst thunder and lightening. So my question is basically are these like 15 minutes rains like we have here in Vegas or should I change my travel dates :twitchy: Any help would be appreciated.

Honestly it rarely rains during the day, most of the time our storms come around at night. So I would think that you should be ok to go out and about and do what you please during the day. Now if it does rain during the day while you are here don't blam me :)

It might rain and it might not. Monsoon storms usually hit at night or early evening. Nobody can predict it more than an hour in advance. I swear. Local forecasters just cover their butts by saying there's a chance for rain. You're good to go.
