does anyone know the diameter of the wide loaders and v-racks? would it be possible to build something rather than use standard equipment?
thanks

They very thoughtfully and coveniently made the plug ins just the right size to accept 3/4" EMT conduit. It's easy to work with. All you need is a conduit bender, most rentall shops would have one.

On that note a friend is working on building me a one piece v-rack/snap deck setup for my Big Dummy. He needs all the pertinent dimensions. I'm lousy at precise measurements and don't have any calipers and such.
Has anyone measured their Big Dummy or wouldn't mind doing so?
I need to give him:
- inside diameter of the openings on the BD frame that the v-racks slide into
- distance between v-racks at front and back of BD where they enter the frame
- distance between openings for one v-rack [ie. distance between both left side openings in the frame]
I made my v-racks from 7/8" o.d. aluminum tubing from a local supply house. I bent it with a conduit bender. Very strong and pretty inexpensive, about $8 for a six foot stick, I used roughly 4 feet for each v-rack.

Yeah, the v-racks are 7/8" (22.2mm), the sockets they slip into have an I.D. of 59/64" (23.5mm)
As far as the other measurements, they're a little complicated, because the v-rack sockets are canted forward slightly, with the front pair at a slightly different angle than the rear ones.
The front to back spacing of the sockets goes from about 73-73.5 cm center to center with the angle.
The rear sockets are spaced 13cm c-c, the front ones are 19cm c-c
