Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - Pake crankset chainline

Hey does anybody know what size bottom bracket spindle I would need to get a 42 mm chainline? I searched and emailed and I didn't get a reply. I think soma recommends getting a 107mm for most applications, but it doesn't say what chainline that gives you. Any help is appreciated. I am thinking about using the formula hubs, which I believe is 42 or 43 mm, or the alien bikes wheels.

107 or 110...either one. The only difference is that the 110 makes the non drive side crank stick out 3mm more.

So am I correct in assuming that the pake chainring can be mounted to either side of the crank? I can't quite tell from the pictures.

Nope, the chainring only goes on the inside of the spider.

unless you've got the Sugino RD's, or Paul cranks assume a 42 mm chainline.

The 107 or 110mm refers to the length of the spindle. It does not mean that the spindle is symmetrical. The spindle extends the same distance out from the BB shell on the drive side of both bottom brackets because the 107 is asymmetrical. It is longer on the drive side than the non-drive side. It sounds like the 110 is symmetrical, so the 3mm are added to the non-drive side, while the drive side remains the same as the 107.

I have a follow up to the original question here. What bottom bracket length should I use to achieve a 45 mm chainline with the Pake track crankset? Are bottom bracket spindles above 110 mm symmetrical? Presumably, I need a 113 mm bottom bracket.
