Bicycle Mechanics - What type of crank bolt do Bulletproof track cranks use?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Square taper, but doesn't come with crank bolts.
Do all LBS's have crank bolts to fit these? Are there different sizes? Help appreciated

Any bike shop should have what you need. Just make sure to get "BMX" or "Track" chainring bolts (they are shorter).

Those cranks look used, are the flats on the square-taper clean and pristine?
Be sure to get a torque-wrench and tighten the crankarm bolts to 30-35 lb*ft. You have pretty much just one chance to install them correctly. If the bolts aren't tight enough, the cranks will wobble loose and the bottom-bracket spindle will gouge out the square-taper. The cranks will never ever fit correctly again after that and will come lose no matter how tight you crank down on the crankarm bolts.

That's a pretty dire prediction. I've installed many cranks and never had one strip. And I've never used a torque wrench. Just put everything on tight. Then ride. And don't worry about it; it's not as if Bulletproof cranks cost much any way.
Oh, and you need short stack bolts, or track / BMX ones. Alternatively, you can just grind the female part of a normal length set down.

I've never been in a car-wreck, but that doesn't mean I don't wear my seatbelts or have insurance.

Crank bolts are what hold the crank onto the bb. For square taper and a modern bb they're all the same.
Chainring bolts hold the chainring onto the crank. For 1 chainring you need singlespeed chainring bolts. That guy who responded didn't read carefully and thought you were talking about chainring bolts, not crank bolts.

Doh, you're right. My fault.
Any crank bolt will do. The LBS shouldn't charge you for those, unless they're hurting.
I would argue that anyone that has their crankarm coming loose has issues other than not owning a torque wrench.
