Hello,

I'm currently on a USA corner to corner trip and I came across a Bike shop / Rest Haven.

The folks who own the shop in Newport Oregon had a new building (May 2008) specifically built for them. The bottom floor is your standard shop but the upper loft... Absolute sweet loving for a tired biker. Laundry, showers, comphy chairs, wifi and cable. I totally blissed out. The big problem for the shop is lousy signage for the new spot. It's kinda hard to find because it not on 101 and not of the "Oregon State signed route."

Do you know the name of the shop and/or directions for getting there?

When you are in Newport make sure to stop by the Rouge Brewery. It's on the south side of the bridge. There is a tavern very near the brewery where they have a distillery. They were making gin when I was there a few years ago. Rouge makes some of my favorite beer. As a matter of fact I am enjoying a Rouge Morimoto Soba Ale right now. Terrific summer beer. The Shakespeare Stout is also a big cold weather fav of mine.

I second MTBMaven's suggestion for a great selection of brews on the Oregon coast. Minor correction to the name - it is the Rogue Brewery.

:thumb: Sorry about that. I hate when FireFox doesn't catch my poor spelling.

The Hazelnut Brown and the Shakespeare Stout are both very good with chocolate.
