Old bum greasy shoe chef.
Cycle to and from work for over 30 years.
Main bike a Seraph Super Mizatani, (Ringyo, Japan), Brooks saddle, Shimono gear,(1974). I still ride it.
Now I am commuting with a Raleigh Mohave 4.0 with a BionX 350v motor and a Lithium battery.
I ride 1.7 miles uphill to work. At four thirty in the AM. Some mornings the electric assist is all that gets me to work. I can do it in 9 minutes giving it all I have. About 12 minutes if I just pedal along. I've put 760 miles on it since 5/13/08! Too much fun! I am spoiled rotten!!!
Truly the electric assist makes me feel 20 years younger. I need that.
I'm glad to have found you folks.

Hi Slickute, good for you! I'm working on getting my husband to commute to work on his bike, but he has a lot of arguments against doing so...the best of which is that we do live on a big hill! Perhaps I should have him look into a electric assist?

Welcome to BF, and feel free to PM me with any questions :) !
