Well if it isn't one thing it's another. Some 15 years ago I had a fair bit of miniscus nibbled out of my right knee and it never really has bothered me except that knee would swell if I tried running for exercise. Cycling I would get tendonitis in the knees until I strengthened them but now that I am doing laps on hills, riding long miles and pushing hard I think that right knee joint is now complaining. It does not seem to be a muscle or tendon related as I can push it hard but it I twist it a little - ouch. I can stand on a climb w/o problem but there are just the certain motions where it complains. Tomorrow it's an 85 mile ride - I will stay conscious of the knee. Today I did a mild ride and experimented with what motions seemed to work best for the knee - seem like good form pedaling with a slight lowering of the heel is what it likes. Pedeling with the heel raised makes it unhappy. After Sept 7th I can ease off for a month but between now and then I need to keep training. Tomorrow it will be 2 alleve and then off for the ride.

Sorry to say but the groundwork has been laid with this one surgury to ensure that that that
knee will wear much faster than the other knee. I'd suggest that you stop running and concentrate
instead on cycling. Cycling is much, much kinder to the human body often being used in medical
re-hab therapy for a whole range of body/mind issues. :thumb::thumb:

I don't run - after the few times I tried back in the mid 90's convinced me it was not for me.

You may be pushing too hard, lighten the work load per revolution and increase the rpm, this may help.
