Lovely August? or is it October we are having. I rode home from work yesterday and felt like I was going to get blown off the bike a couple of times. Just wait and see what treats Mother Nature has in store for us when the real winter gets here? Shades of the Inaugural day storm of a few years ago? I've been waiting for summer and now its almost gone.

Loads Of Fun Here On The East Side Too. Thunder Storms And High Winds Yesterday, I Didnt Ride. Just Lots Of Wind Today. Hope To Get Some Miles In Tomorrow. But Im With You, Strange Summer Has Me Wondering About Winter.

What's the highest temp so far this summer? Well below 100 degrees, at least on the West side...
And rain the last few days, as well.

We're cookin' in the south. I began my ride at 7:30 and it was 78 degrees. Finshed around 11:00...92 degrees. 45 days over 100 so far this summer...record is 60-something days. The max temp I think has been 104...but most days are 100 or 101.

Glad you can handle it, because I think that would have killed me  .

My sister lives near Houston in Highlands and man I don't think I could handle it down there. I did visit once for 3 days it seemed like a month. I normally don't mind our weather here cause this time of year its supposed to be pretty dry and warm and thats good but this year man its weird

I had to bust out the rain gear yesterday. NOT what I'm used to around here in August. Still, it beats 90!

I used to live in Texas, and riding there in the summer used to make me feel cooked....fried on my back and arms, with the sun beating down, and baked on my legs from the heat rising up off the asphalt. Toasty.

Mild summer in the bay area too, although *much* drier than normal (I don't remember the last time I saw rain -- Feb?). I don't mind riding in the heat, but Texas -- no thanks! 80 is perfect for me.
