Hi,
I just bought a used Burley Koosah recumbent bike this week. It needs a tune-up, but I've already had it out a few times to get the feel for it. So far, I like it. The learning curve has been pretty smooth, though I'm not comfortable in traffic yet.
I'm 35, married, and my wife is humoring my eccentric bike fairly well so far. :)
My BMI is up around 34, so hopefully I can get that moving in the right direction with the new bike. I'll need to work on my endurance before I can go on any organized rides.
