Hello everyone. My name is Chas and I reside in Anchorage. I commute on my bicycle everyday to work and school, all year long. I joined this forum to gain some insight on what it takes to bike a 1,000 miles+ across this great beautiful country of ours with hopes of traveling from Prudoe Bay to the southernmost tip of South America sometime before I bid farewell. If anyone has ever biked from Denver west to Oregon or up the Alcan, I would greatly appreciate some conversation about your travels. If you are interested in what it's like to bike here in Alaska, give me a shout.
