Need, help, Just installed and nothing will read out. Double checked all stuff, installed correctly. Is there a little trick I need to do to make the computer work? No mph showing or anything. I went through step by step for the settings and everythings right. Any help would be great.

I'm alittle confused. By "nothing will read out" do you mean that the screen is completlely blank, or that digits are there, but no registering your speed?

If it's completely blank the only thing that can cause that is the battery. It's either dead or installed upside down. I believe they're + side up (but don't quote me). If the battery don't fix dat problem, your 'puter's busted dood.

If it's not registering your speed it's usually magnet placement. Try to get the magnet closer to the sensor either by sliding the magnet (and sensor) towards the hub (where the spokes are closer to the fork) and or shimming the sensor closer to the magnet. Also the magnet on the sigma can be rotated around the spoke. Rotate it so that it's as close to the sensor as possible.

Thanks for the reply. The digits are there, but no speed is registering. It's on a mountain bike so it's kind of difficult to get the sensor real close. Should I try stuffing the back of the sensor so it reaches the magnet on the spoke more?

I find the Sigma magnets to be irritating. I much prefer the mushroom type of magnet because they are larger and therefore more powerful to operate the reed switch inside the sensor.

I have found with the Sigma computers that you do have to get the standard magnet/sensor as close as possible to each other, even to the point of touching, then backing off a millimetre or less either the magnet on the spoke or the sensor.

So yes, packing out the sensor would be a good move.

Yep, I moved the sensor as high as possible on the fork, and it finally worked. On the plus side, I've had zero problems since.
