Thanks for the nice comments. It was a lovely trip indeed. Would be happy to do it again anytime.

Zonatandem : Yes I'm flemish (and happy Belgian too:thumb:-stupid politics) indeed. Nice to hear you are flemish too! I was born in Antwerp, but spend a lot of my youth in Knokke-Heist (biked many times to Brugge:beer:) and my parents still live there. Katy, my sweet wife is American. We both love living in Geneva, Switzerland though. Cycling is great around here.

Wow, what a great trip report! Thanks for sharing too! :thumb:

Btw, what does your screen name mean? I was in Dubai last month and shopped at a Carrefour. It was the largest and most impressive supermarket I've ever seen.

Knubby, believe it or not, but my "carrefour" refers indeed to the french based supermarket stores. When I signed up to bikeforums that was the first thing that came up to my mind and my wife and I had a good laugh about it. Maybe stupid, but that is the truth. Apart from that it translates to English as "crossroads" so it may make sense after all. And if you had a great shopping experience there in Dubai then that is even better.
