I have a cannondale track frame (aluminum) that has a very annoying decal under clearcoat - I can feel the sticker making a raised edge over the rest of the clear. Basically i'd like to know what my options are for removing said sticker.
Is there anyway to remove it and then just spray clear over just the spot where it orignally was? Or will this screw the rest of the clearcoat over. Would I have to get the entire frame re-clearcoated or worse?

My advice? Either call a professional painter in your area and get them to give you the bad news... or learn to love that decal!

Your cheapest option might actually be to find another decal you like and stick it over it.
If you peel off the sticker or sandpaper it off, and then put clear in that area you would leave a ridge:(--it all depends on you . The cheapest option would be is to put another decal over it. If its showroom condition that you like get it repainted professionally.:thumb:

I actually paint automobiles quite often. It would take a lot to get rid of that sticker. I feel it would do more harm than good.
