Did I miss it or has noone commented on the ride on here yet?

I thought they did a good job. It was my first 40+ mile ride and they spaced out the rest stop pretty well. Considering that the max I've done in the past is 27 miles, I was very thankful.

The only thing I could find to complain about was the mixing of the gatorade... I know this is a real nit-pick, so it shouldn't even be considered a complaint. The folks at the rest stops even noticed that it was thin.

The hills seemed never ending between ~16 miles and the rest stop at ~23 miles, so it was a really good work out. Nothing really steep... just a whole lot of uphill pedaling to wear you out.

I'll definitely be back... how about you?

It was a good ride for me as well. I liked the contrast of riding in the middle of nowhere as opposed to a lot of the rides here. There were more hills than the Goatneck, but smaller. Miles 16 through 23 felt like you were just rolling off of one and onto the next. The people were friendly and the rest stops were well stocked with cookies, bananas, pickels and even frozen peaches at a couple of stops. As for the Gatorade, I wouldn't call that a nickpick, it's your lifeblood when you're out in the middle of nowhere on a ride. I know that some of the initial reviews for the Hot Rocks ride look good, but I'm still planning on returning next year for a try at the 71 mile route.
