I've been looking a the Planet Bike Blaze 1W at $30 vs. jumping up to a MiNewt MiniUSB at ~$100 (or Sol if I can find one clearanced out).
Does anyone have some pictures showing me the difference in their beams? ...or some data telling me how many lumens the Blaze (or equivalent) puts out? They are both LED based lights so I gotta believe someone has done some test, but I can't find anything so far.
I'll be riding primarily in my neighborhood and have some street lights, but some dark areas, too. As winter approaches, I'll probably use it on the public paved trails as well.
My older CatEye halogen leaves a lot to be desired in visibility considering the "dead spots" in the beam. I think the Blaze would do the job, but I'm not sure.
A comparison using the NiteRider UltraMax appears to be the same basic thing as the Blaze, as well.
