I'll be staying at the sheraton gateway hotel over by riverdale road in atlanta on the 26th, 27th and 28th for work training. Any reasonable places to ride in the immediate area? 25-30 miles would be a good ride... probably bring my mtb with 90psi 26x1.25s on it. I could drive a bit to go somewhere else, but I get lost trying to get out of a wet paper bag... will be riding after 4pm. Riverdale is a pretty nice road, but seems like it gets sketchy over by old national highway. (this is my 4th or 5th trip to the area, first time w/ a bike tho)

outback bikes does a ride wednesday at little five points, that's the one i plan on doing it's 20 miles

the easiest way to find rides is to type in "atlanta bike shop" to google, and just look at their websites, most of them do rides throughout the week : )

Hey, just saw your thread...

Are you in town? Sorry about the rain but tomorrow looks good.

Give me a shout and I can direct you to some riding!

Thanks for the notes - sorry dave, I didn't have computer access while I was on the trip.

I did two rides, the Northside Magic ride on wed. and the Decatur Wonderful Evening Ride on thurs. Both were fun rides, and I learned quite a bit - urban cycling (at least, that's what I would call it vs what I do) is quite a bit different and it was neat to try out something new. I found out a ~24 mile 16-17mph ride is pretty darn intense with all the starting / stopping for stop signs, compared the same avg and distance on a highway.
