Road Bike Racing - usps.com

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I was really bored tonight, so I went to the website for every title sponsor for a UCI division I trade team.
Every single one of them has a link to the cycling teams website. Most are front and center on the very first page, and despite my inability to read dutch, french, german, or italian (ok, a little) I was able to find them all within a click or two.
All expect www.usps.com that is, I finally found on, but its like hidden and buried. If any other title sponsor had a 5 time tour winner on the team, that link would be front and center.

Yeah, I noticed that a while ago as well. At least Trek seems to take advantage of their star rider. I was reading It's not About the Bike today in English, and despite there being a picture of him on a bike open someone asked me if he was "the guy that went to the moon." I suppose I can forgive their ignorance as I really don't know much about many other sports, but it is pretty disheartening seeing people so oblivious to an prominent American sportsman.

If'n you used the right address, it might work...
They actually have TWO websites..here's the first (www.uspsprocycling.com)
Here's the second (www.usps-berryfloor.com)
Don't blame the team that UCI cannot get it right.
Here's a free one that's normally in Italian (www.team.saeco.com/english/default.asp)

You appear to live in California..or as Arnold would say "Kaleefourneeah"...these things are to be expected... :D
In Kaleefourneeah, everyone's been to the "moon"... ;)

Im not talking about going to the teams website, I was talking about going to the title sponsors website.
If you go to Ag2rs website, the insurance company and not the team, sure they're selling insurance, but there is a little link that goes to the team site.
go to www.quick-step.com, www.domo.be, www.fassabortolo.com, www.phonak.com, www.lampre.it, www.gerolsteiner.com www.csc.com
etc. They all have one
tmobile.de has one, but not the US tmobile.com
Even if you go to www.Berryfloor.be they have a picture of Lance.
But at www.usps.com all I see is that I can buy stamps and track packages. If you click around long enough, you can find a link on lance, but its buried, and that is a shame.

Yup, it's all about what sports are important to the U.S. vs. Europe. I'll bet if USPS sponsored a NASCAR team, or a pro/college basketball/baseball/football (heck, badminton for that matter - nothing ranks as low as cycling in the States) player, there would be a GIANT picture of said player on the main page of the site.
It is a shame.
