So I'm still toggling between a BD bike for 300 or so, or building up my own and learning on the way. I've looked into a lot of frames in my price range, and so far the one that most interest me is the Kilo TT frame on BI. Anyways I was looking through ebay and came across the Leader frames. Any good? http://www.leaderbikestore.com/pd_ld720tr.cfm
Reasonably priced and i searched and it seems like Leader took the criticism of previous models and fixed it. Any help woud be great. thanks

Will you ride track or mainly on street?
Go with whichever one you think you'll be happier with (as in the end you probably will). Definitely go ride an aluminum track frame, though, to get an idea as to whether you prefer aluminum or steel. This should be a top priority if you haven't already.
Read these for more info (and please do so that my search for you doesn't go in vain!).

Thanks for that post. I guess the only thing stopping me from building my own, (i think i can get close to a new BD bike with craigslisted parts) is truing the wheels, and assembling BB and headset. Also digging the Mark V frame. Guess we'll see.

^^^ To the OP... Crazy!!! I just read your post on sjfixed.org... small world, huh? Oh, and I'm often in Berkeley and San Jose also... Maybe I'll PM you for a ride when you get your bike.

There's some huge threads here involving Leader and BD. My 2 cents: steel.

Hey cdejesus. What gearing do you have on your setup, and how are the hills around berkeley for you? I can't decide what to go with.
