Mountain Biking - Lights? MiNewt.X2?

I'm looking for a light setup that I can use on the trails but also use for commuting. I checked over in the commuting forum, but most of them suggest building my own, and that is not an option. What do you guys think? Anybody have one of these? Bright enough?

150 lumen should be enough for trail riding, but for commuting on the road with traffic it is somewhat inadequate. Some of the commuting forum guys run upwards of 1500 lumen after dark. I'm at around 600 right now, and I will be upgrading this fall. The beam pattern looks fairly focused - for a handlebar mount I like to go with a flood, reserving the spot for a helmet light.

I'm on the fence about the MiNewt. I actually have two of them and a twelve watt halogen. One of the MiNewt's is on my helmet. The halogen isn't as sexy but has a much better fill pattern.

For the Really Dark Pacific Northwest nights, I'm grateful to have all three lights. Note also that with multiple lights you have less "single point of failure" issues in case one of the lights goes finicky on you.

Thanks for the opinions on the commuting aspect. The majority of my commute is through urban areas or populated suburbs, so I think I will be able to get away with one light.

If I need something more, I'm thinking about a Dinotte 200L helmet mount one. We'll see though.

I've got the MiNewt x.2. It's a great light. It has a bright setting and a dim setting and I've never had to use the bright setting (claimed 7h battery life on dim). If you're riding in snow then the bright setting is a bit too bright for my eyes. The optics are excellent and it makes full use of its lumen output so it gives more useful light than its rating suggests. The optics give it plenty of reach so I've never felt the need for more light on the road. The beam spread is a bit on the tight side so the helmet mount is important (so you can point the light where you need it).

I could get by with just 2 of them but having that much light is just soooo over the top:D
