That's in a quite significant degree of German. More so than I can read.

Unless I'm looking the wrong place, I see almost no information about what this actually does except in the vaguest terms. It seems like it may do something similar the schlumpf, which could be a good thing, but until they release some actual specs, it's going to be hard to make comparisons.

Now all we need is a leakproof oilbath chaincase and the 1890 Sunbeam will be re-invented :)

Hope it sells ok. I'll have to get one.

If you are going to add the weight of a leakproof oilbath chaincase, just go with a shaftdrive.

A shaft drive will add about a pound, I can not imagine that type of chaincase adding less than that.

Could a leakproof chaincase stay leak free with a deraillier, or would you be restricted to a hubgear, like a shaftdrive is?

Would an oilbath chain have less drag than a dirty chain, but more drag than a clean chain?

A good shaftgear does not have anywhere near the 15% loss compared to a chain that some claim.
The shaftdrive will range from being less drag (light oil instead of grease in it and the hubgear) to maybe 5% more drag. It depends on which gear and the straightness of the chainline. Typically the shaftdrive have about 3% more drag. If the chain and gears are dirty, the shaftdrive is less drag.

I once owned a shaftdrive bike, I liked the shaftdrive, but not the rest of that bike.
I now have 2 bikes with hubgears and chaindrive.
I find that a chaindrive without a deraillier is almost as trouble free as a shaftdrive.
The shaftdrive is cleaner, has more ground clearance, is heavier, and costs more.
