General Cycling Discussion - looking for good bike shorts for women

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. this is late's spousal unit. i am looking for a comfortable pair of bike shorts for longer rides. i currently have a pair of performance elite, which i like pretty much, but when i recently ordered a second pair, they weren't the same. it seems like the padding is too thick and almost makes you look like you're wearing a diaper. any thoughts?

Dear late's spousal unit,
I like Pearl Izumi six-panel ladies shorts. Nice fabric, cut well and the XLs stretch to fit my "mass" posterior.
if you dont mind spending 150 the Assos is the creme de la creme.

My wife ( she petite - overly thick pads were causeing chafing in places that did not make either of us happy...) now swears by her Louis Greneau (spelled wrong I know) higher end shorts.
In addition to a better cut pad, she likes the slightly slimmer cut of the spandex.

Are we talking baggy shorts or spandex here?
I only wear baggies. I like my Yuba shorts by Zoic. I prefer my liners part of my shorts, as opposed to spandex with everyday shorts over them.

I recently got a high-end Louis Garneau bike shorts, too. I have to say, it's the cat's meow! (no pun intended ;-))Very comfy pad, perfect feel of fabric compared to my Hind bike shorts.
