Hey everyone! I am just getting started riding and am currently looking for a used road bike to introduce me to the sport. I will be using the bike to commute to school from my home about 2.5 miles away. I don't intend on becoming too serious in the sport, just a commuter that enjoys weekend rides. That Schwinn is a bomb proof bike, but it is heavy!

There are people that love them, and people that don't.

I don't know the local market prices in Orlando, but in most parts of the country, the $150 asking price in the title is too much for the bike, and the $200 in the text isdefinitely high...

I think it would make a nice commuter for 2.5 mile rides if it is your size. Whether it is a reasonable price depends on your market, and loking at CL in the Orlando area quickly, it is hard for me to tell.

As to whether or not it would be good for weekend rides, it depends on how far you are looking to ride.
