Just FYI - Mike's Bikes is having their Fall super sale this week (till Sunday). They've got some rockin deals on bikes and other equipment. I'm definitely getting some new tubes (3 for $10!) and maybe some other goodies. Also, if you've purchased anything in the last 30 days that's on sale now, they'll take care of you :).

Every Mike's sale has this babe-a-licious bike for $6500, I have to say "I love my Trek" about 100x before I forget about it and move on.

The SL2 is so awesome. It's easy for me not to buy it - I just can't afford it :D

Where are you guys buying tubes? All the local places, even REI, where I look, tubes are $4-$6 a piece for a standard tube. 3 tubes for $10 just saved $2-$8 over normal prices. Even on nashbar tubes are about that much, and you have to factor in shipping costs. So is there some super tube deal I'm unaware of?

I buy in quantity. Usually I can get a good discount that way. I've been using tubes I bought 2 years ago, and I'm only about halfway through my inventory. :p
i get my tubes from performance bikes. 2.50 each fuji brand with longer presta valves or you can get the standard forte ones for 3 bucks each at the store.

You can get 10 tubes for $20 at either JensonUSA or Price Point.

+1
I had ordered a bike from their Sausalito store over the phone. I dealt w/ the manager. Had him fax over exactly what I was purchasing. Put a small deposit down. Told him I would be driving over on the Saturday to pick up the bike, make the final payment, etc. Mind you, this is a hour plus drive.
Get there, he brings out the bike and it's completely different than what we agreed to. He then tells me that his boss won't allow him to do the sale, that it was too low of a price, etc. I called BS and showed him the fax of what we agreed upon.
Very bad day. They might be better now, but I still won't deal w/ those yo-yo's.

Nice. I do know Mike's price matches the internet. Not sure if they would/could match that one though.
Mike's Bikes is having their Fall super sale this weekPerhaps they should hit up the Summer Sale at Calendars-A-Plenty before naming their sales.

I guess it's just their mega sale. I really didn't intend for this thread to turn in to some kind of pissing match. If you like the place go there, if you don't I don't care.
My bad for trying to point out a sale from which most members of this forum could benefit.
Whoa, hey, there was no pissing involved, I was just poking fun at their naming convention. :)

I think the naming issue is me being ********. I'll admit that. I mis-worded it. Seriously though, like the place or not (to others) the sale is there. I don't work there or benefit if you go, so do or don't. I do like all of the people at the Sacramento store though (the only Mike's I've visited) but that's it ;)
