Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I sure did make the wrong tire choice for today. Fish tailed it alot, not a very fast paced ride like what I'm used to. Had to take sections very slow and cautiously that I normally would have flown through. I took pictures but not too many since I needed to keep the pace going or I would not have made it through sections. This bike is perfect for my needs, it's very responsive where I was able to turn without fishtailing it turned like it was on a rail. Unfortunately I had to end the ride early because I washed out and slid into a snow bank, bent the rotors, would not rotate in the rear, plus the rear deraillieur froze up.
So here are the pics.

Numeber two was seeing where I was going. It's a fun trail, jumps are removed from it right now xc skiing team uses the trail, at the end, you have this section where you could chose between making the left and continue on with a flat terrain, or you could go right and climb up technical singletrack that will bring you out to a dh portion of road, I chose the right.

This is the downhill piece of road, it has a slight bend to it, it is where I washed out and slid into the snow bank. Deraillieur was frozen already. You will notice that I fought it from washing out for a bit befor I washed out.

Would not have mattered if I did, it was not ice, it was snow.
You said you made the wrong tyre choice... which begs the question: what would have been the right tyres? I have yet to find a good set of tyres for snow.

I have a pair of mobsters which are much better in the snow. I was thinking about hitting dirt(snow) jumps, but never got to doing them.
