Yes, I'm from Michigan...you know those people who can use their hands to point out exactly where they live in the state.
A brief history of cycling in my life.....
Can not remember a time when I didn't own at least one bike. I've always loved cycling from the time I had a banana seat coaster bike (Oops!....Am I dating myself) to this day. I've had bikes stolen, been hit by cars a few times (I never ride without a helmet for this reason), have had a few serious Oh **** moments but, always managed to pick myself up and ride again. Cycling for me is a passion. I love all types, from road to mountain and everything in between.
Currently I own 3 bikes. I have a mid 90's Cannondale mountain bike, a Gary Fisher HKEK mountain bike (my newest addition) and am working on converting an old Trek 400 road frame (first bike I ever bought myself) to a singlespeed/fixed gear bike since, I just can't part with her.
I commute to work whenever I can and ride for fun when I'm not working. I also want to take an extended cycling trip somewhere for a month or so.
So....anyway that's it.....cycling has always been a constant in my life and I sure do not see that changing anytime soon. I look forward to learning from everyone here, and throwing my 2 cents in here and there. Now, I must go......it's time to ride.:thumb:
