ok I really don't post much, but I brought a gary fisher Hybrid last year and have been looking to upgrade ever since. I picked up a schwinn world its old school but I like it so I'm still looking for a road bike but it has to be around 700-800 Not feeling droping a grand on a bike just yet. I would be looking for something that can take my weight 255 and maybe do some sprint Tri's. any ideas

Isn't the schwinn world a dropped bar bike? I went from a Trek hybrid to an old schwinn spirit and finally to my new Cannondale CAAD9. The schwinn was a lot of fun. I think the old school bikes have a lot of personality. I just sold my schwinn this past weekend to a 20 something relief worker who I think will give it a good home!
