Alt Bike Culture - Steampunk Bike!

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Wow..this one is SO cool, I had to post it. Not sure if you've seen this one or not, but it'd sure turn heads! (Scroll all the way down on that page to see the photo.)

That is one beautiful bike. Wow. I'm planning to create a bike to dress as a tall ship (for a parade with a nautical theme) and I may need to pinch the "training wheel" design!

...in a thread about bamboo bikes (these are wood). And his comments were along the Steampunk aesthetic.
Glad you guys are on it.
Any photos to share? Any projects in the works? Love this stuff.

check out this one from Trek.... electric. the toggles on the tanks control the motor, and it has an analog voltage gauge.
Saw this at the Boise Tour de Fat.

Makes me wish I lived in an alternate universe - although, as a bike commuter, most people think I already do.....

... wingtip cycling shoes!
Those are COOL! Are they one-offs, or for sale? Not that they would go with my white socks anyway.
And the Vortex of Terror "board track" (what's the proper name?) in the link - reminds me of the motorcycle show at the carnival. They did the whole concept very nice. Thanks for that fosmith.
Nice posts.

Probably one-offs for the trade show, but you could probably have a cobbler re-sole a pair of Fluevogs (http://www.fluevog.com/code/?w[0]=attribute%3AMens&w[1]=order%3Afresh&pp=1&view=detail&p=12&colourID=2546) for you...
