Just got my AmpedBikes Kit, build underway!

Question?
I'm going to carry the SLA charger in my battery bag to recharge at work.
Will it be OK to leave it wired up to the batteries, along with the motor controller whiile I ride?
Might it damage either?
(I will be disconnecting the batteries and charger from the bike when charging at my desk)
