Hey ya'll, I've been thinking of starting to commute to work and around town on my bike (I live & work in Plymouth MA).
The thing is, I live in West Ply. & I'm not so confident in the safety of riding on the main roads. I was just wondering if anyone did any "day to day" riding around town & had any advice/suggestions.
Thanks folks!
Hey jellen. I know it's been a while since you've posted this, and you've probably forgot about it, but maybe you'll read it again some day. I live in South Plymouth and commuted 16 miles to Luke's Liquors in Manomet each day. Plymouth's tricky because the old roads tend to be quite thin.
I used to speed around down town on my single speed a lot. Just be careful not to get doored, especially on Main st, and Water st. All the streets, buildings, stores and parking spots are so cramped that cars can lose you in the chaos at times, so yea, stay safe. Maybe I'll see you around some day. I ride an aluminum colored CAAD9, and usually wear a red jersey.
Happy Riding.
