Texas - Riding in Dallas this weekend? (Carrollton)

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I'm tagging along with my wife this weekend up to Dallas to attend a wedding. She's doing wedding stuff (she's a bridesmaid) all day Friday, so I'm looking for something to do. Though about maybe taking the bike with me. Are there any good routes in the Carrollton-ish area? If all I'm going to find in the immediate vicinity is concrete and traffic, I'm not opposed to driving and parking to explore a good route further away. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Mac

A lot depends upon what you like to do. Carrollton isn't the best place (none of the 1960s era suburbs make good bicycling communities), but if you stay off the main thoroughfares, there are nice places.
Here's a map for Dallas' on-street bike routes: http://www.dallascityhall.com/pwt/bike_links.html
...or if you want a 25 mile multi-use path experience (following White Rock Creek down, and around, White Rock Lake), go over to the White Rock Creek/Lake Trail system:
