Welcome to the BF boards. 'Know Photoshop? Start your own biz. I did it. I used to upholster furniture. My employer went broke, so I turned my hobby into a business.

Hi thoppe...first things first. What kind of riding do you see yourself doing? Road, MTB, something else?

Welcome to BF, and feel free to PM me with any questions :) !

I'm sure that's actually the "Electricians" union but I could need to be corrected.

Actually, it is the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. IBEW for short.

I've got a couple bikes. I just found a couple bikes in my uncle's barn a couple months ago: A 70's(?) Peugeot 8 speed that I just got finished having converted to ss and a GT RTS3, . But I plan on mostly using the ss for everything: social rides, general transportation, and exercise. Not really sure what I'll be doing with the MTB. Where I live is pretty flat, gets only 10 inches a year but is close to the sierras so there are lots of cool trails so I'm looking at cyclocross singlespeed; but just looking at this point.
Thanks again

yes to both, sort of. As I am only in the pool of available apprentices I'm not going to claim I'm anything.
