Ride options of 20, 40, 62, 75 and 100 miles. Plus massages for weary riders at the finish (donated by Massage Garage), and great rest stops, goody bags, a silent auction and sizzling pizza at the end of the ride.

After the three surgeries I've had this spring/summer and the resulting delays to "real riding" I may only do the 40 or 62 mile ride.

Is it the same Airport/Silk Sheets route from 2006? I might be there for 100. Might do a OneLove/Share the Road combo again! :)
What's the exact date of the ride?
As in the past it will start and end at Atlanta Cycling in Vinings. The date is Monday, Sept 1 (Labor Day).

Thanks, Ron! Sorry -- knew it was Labor Day weekend, didn't realize it was actually on the day. I would like to do this one again.

I might have to come out to this thing. Seems like a good event for a newcomer.
I'd like to support it. I'm biking mainly for grocery store trips, but I'd really like to see some progress on making things safer for bikers on the road... so I'll at least donate, if nothing else.

I have pdf maps and cue sheets for all distances if any one wants them. Can't post them online. The file is 860k.
Send me an email (ronhorne@att.net) if interested.

I'd like to, but given that I haven't been training for longer distances, my next century is going to be the one in Watkinsville
(October). If I can talk Sue into it maybe I'll come and do the 20 mile option (depends on her plans for Labor Day). Any longer option on a three day weekend at the spur of the moment might cause me some relationship problems (Sue cycles some, but even 20 miles is a stretch for her at the moment).
Larry, they have several ride distances - 20, 40, 50, 70, and 100 miles.
Since I had knee surgery in late April and varicose vein surgeries in late June and early July, I too haven't been able to "train" but I doing one of the shorter options - like 40 or 50 miles.
Sue can ride the 20 mile option and you can do a longer ride. She can head back to the start/finish and have pizza and a coke while you do your ride. ;)
Everyone blow really hard toward the Caribbean to keep Gustav away from Atlanta. :twitchy:
