General Cycling Discussion - Does this seem fishy to anyone else, LOL?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I came across this when I was searching for Cannondale stuff.

I personally would never pay this much for this bike, or all the others this guy has listed. Hmmm......
Gee.... doesn't seem fishy at all... :D

Yeah, as I hinted at earlier, I think he's just a tad overpriced. :D
P.S. Check out the names of the high bidders.

Obviously someone is very bored and has turned to eBay for entertainment. This is simply too outlandish for even the most transparent of scams.

I got a good laugh out of that one. Did anyone perchance check out the first bid?
The entire auction is a scam, the bid prices are huge
so the idiot who posts ends up having to pay
(never happens) e-bay whatever percentage they
charge of the final price.
No one is really bidding on a bike that doesn't exist.
(did that whole thing make sense?)

This bike's up to $10 MILLION DOLLARS muhahahahaha!

I don't know about you but for $10 million, I can BUY lance armstrong.
$1 Million - http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3659787981&category=27948
$12,000 - http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3659763784&category=27948
These 2 people, nveniossatbay and latzewo both have multiple auctions above $10K, 0 feedback and request either wire transfer or personal check to your friendly nation of Nigeria.
I wonder what happens when I win the auction for $10 mil and I don't pay. Ebay will still deduct their 2% or whatever fee from the seller's account Hehehe.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again. DO NOT GO OVER $1.5 MILLION FOR A BIKE WITH ULTEGRA. Nuff said! :D
so... does someone have it out for this guy or what? How in hell do auctions get prices that high without ebay stepping in to check on things?

Well, I've been Ebay'ing for several years now and this is nothing out of the ordinary.... especially for a XTR equipped rig. There are people out there with lots & lots of money...
