While on facebook, I was introduced to PersonalDNA (http://www.personaldna.com/) to assess my personality. I was curious so I tried it out. Check it out and see if its accurate for you.

I was labeled as an "Encouraging Leader". I read the description (http://www.personaldna.com/report.php?k=oinotsUsguriKYX-OP-ADADD-3065) and it was fairly accurate which scared me a little.

I have taken the MeyersBriggs personality test two or three times in my life. Last time at the Naval War College a couple of years ago. I can never remember what four letters I am, all I remember is that that personality type makes up less than 2% of of all Marine Officers,,, guess that is why I dont fit in :)

I'm a pissy negativity type...although I haven't taken that test...

It's Meyers Briggs personality type, and there was this forumite <shall not mention name> that made me want to :crash: Anyway...

I guess there are a ton of personality tests. My supervisor had me do the Enneagram one at our office retreat. I am a challenger, or so the test reads.

There's this oft-repeated experiment where a group of people are given an astrological reading, and they have to rate how accurately the readings describe their personalities. The readings get rave reviews. The subjects are then told that they were all given the exact same reading.

Same sort of thing with these personality tests. People see themselves in them if they are general enough. I think they're mostly BS.

It says I'm a "generous inventor," but the implication that I have a personality at all is laughable at best.

On the MBTI, I consistently test out as an ISTJ.

I got as far as reading it will take 30 minutes. I think that means I have the attention span of a gnat. Which is quite accurate.

Interesting that they restate pretty much exactly what I answered in their questions. Must be magic. :rolleyes:

Considerate Idealist... a reasonable labeling, but all the rest is just regurgitation of what I input.

I agree what somebody posted that the results are very much just taking my answers and listing them. Although it's decent entertainment getting some statistics and sentences to make me feel good about myself. Not that I really needed it being in the top 10% of confidence. :p

Generous Realist. I thought the description matched me well and the testing format was very unique. I enjoyed the slider bar concept instead of the typical disagree to agree scale.

I may take the test later, but I have to wonder...

I am currrently in counseling dealing with issues of dependence, and passive aggression along with other issues, which tends to play out by my wanting to do what other people want me to do, but I end up procrastinating, which leads to depression.

I wonder where this is going to put me on a personality test. ;)

It said I am am a generous builder. I think that if I had been in a different mood, I might have answered quite a few of the questions very differently, and I wonder what that would do to the score. Especially the job satisfaction part, as I have a love/hate relationship with my job, might change things a bit.

Benevolent Director. The test seemed pretty accurate. I've taken several of these and the descriptions are usually pretty consistent. My goal is to become a Benevolent Pornographer.
