How far do you bike daily? And do you bike daily?
I ride 2 days off 2 days, etc, etc.
And I ride 4 miles at a time.

I try and ride at least 6 days a week, but if I'm feeling alright and the weather isn't that bad I'll usually ride 7 days a week. I'm only doing 21 daily right now, but once I get out of this hibernation mode I'm in, I'll bring it back up to 50.

I usually try to ride indoors (trainer) or outdoors about 6 days per week. Right now, I am at about 12 miles per day, but as the weather gets better and the days get longer, I will bike about 20 miles per day.

20 - 50 miles a day? Wow! How much time does it take to ride 20-50 miles? Do you guys work?
Now I can ride 20 miles on a stationary bike easy, but on the road and the trails that I ride are something else.

I generally do 20 miles in about 1 hour and 15-25 minutes total. I am not a fast rider.
I teach and get out of school about 4:00 pm. There is a nice riding trail about 2 miles from the school and I keep the bike in the back of my hatchback. I go to the park/trailhead and change, and from there I can go a number of different directions for a good 20 mile ride.
On the weekends, I live right on a bike path from whence I can go over a 100 miles if I so desire.
And in the summer, I can just go and go!! :D
Last year I did 3,500 miles. My goal this year is 5,000 miles! So far, I have 500+ miles indoors and out.

For me it really depends on the weather. In the summer I get about 160 miles or more per week, but now in the winter I'm lucky to get 100 per week. In the summer my daily rides consist of 20-100 mile rides, depending on the day. This winter I've been lucky to get a 20 mile ride in. And for some reason, I can't stand trainers, so I'm really missing out I guess. (however, I do get more milage on the home computer in the winter)

Well I have the benefit of being a high school senior:) I also do badminton so time is starting to be an issue on two days out of the week.
Mon: Out of school at 1:25, practice at 3:30
Tues: Out of school at 2:05, practice at 3:30
Wed: Out of school at 11:35, practice at 3:30
Thurs: Out of school at 2:05, practice at 3:30
Fri: Out of school at 11:35, practice at 3:30
Sat: Wake up sometime around noon, eat and then ride
Sun: Wake up around noon, eat, lounge about, ride.
Tuesdays and Thursdays are a little tricky because if I don't hit the 20 miles/hour mark I'm a little late to practice.
Today was a gorgeous day, so I decided to ride my old 50-mile loop. Wow, after 2 months of riding only 20 miles it really felt like a long time.
If you exclude the last week, I ride every day, 12-15 miles. Yesterday I rode 8.5 miles in the snow. That is equal to about 100 miles according to the way my legs feel today. :D
(this was crunchy, hard snow, anywhere from 4" to 12" depending on where it drifted)
I am tired of fighting Mother Nature. She is a Mother @$#!!! I don't mind riding in the cold but this ice and snow,

with the winter hours and it getting dark early i ride when i can, so on week days that I get a chance to ride after work I try to get 20 to 25 miles in, just depends on what time I get to the trail and how much sun light I have left.
On weekends when i ride we do 50 to 100, but weekend rides are far and few, .aybe every other saturday or sunday.
I will take what I can get, unfortunately I am not independantly wealthy and cant ride every day all day like I would like to do..

Last time I updated at Bikeprolog.com I was averaging around 64km/day for the year thus far. That's about what I'd consider "normal".

For the past few months my daily total has been a big "0"... Weather around here sucks at the moment and i cant seem to get out.....when its nice i usually do about 10-20.....sometimes 5-10 depending on weather and what i feel like doing...
In 2003 I logged about 5100 miles. Dividing that by 365, I get an average of 14 miles a day. This year, I hope to do a little more, if only because it's a leap year. :)
I generally do from 0 to 40 in January, from 0 to 50 in Feb. and 50 to 75 the rest of the year. I try to do a century every weekend from April through the end of october, some organized and most not. I commute most places I go, run all my errands and ride for pleasure on the weekend. Last year was my highest mileage year in my life, 15,212 miles, I doubt i'll ever do it again, I'm getting old and life is getting busy as the family grows.

I get about 15 to 20 a day. Pretty good for me. In the summer I hope to increase this number to 25 per day.

In the summer, 25 mile per day because I commute to work. In the winter, 5.

Winter months it's only trainer miles. Usually 3-4 times a week about 20 miles each time. When early spring shows up, the daily training rides are 26-32 miles (4 or 5 times weekly) and weekends are usually one or two 45-60 milers. However I can get it the minimum weekly goal is 130-140 miles.
I'm commuting 46 miles a day, 23 each way. It hasn't been everyday, with the sub-zero weather I've car pooled, but I still ride to their house to get a ride, and then I'll ride home from their place, it's usually 8-10 miles when I do that. I've ridden centuries, and a couple rides on "vacation." I know when the summer months come I'll step up the miles, I'm hoping to at least double some of the miles, and would like to do a century a weekend, that's a lot of miles, but could be fun to get it in.

I'm curious, how does one even have time to procreate given that many miles? I don't think I put that many miles on my car this year and I drive most places I go.
Wow!!
Well geneman, I find that if you commute to work most every day, ride for recreation with others on the weekend and on Wednesday night after dinner and just make the bike a normal part of life it all adds up pretty quick. When I need to run to the store or run an errand, I never think car, I always think about which route to take, if I feel like climbing a few hills or not, which bag to put on the bike. The bike is just part of my life. As far as the procreation goes, I do't sleep much.
In winter 5 days a week 26-30 miles a day.
Summer 7 days
It depends. Right now I'm riding about 30 minutes 4 days a week on my trainer and 60 minutes 2 days a week. But I'm just building up for the season.
By April/May, if this year is like my previous 5, I should be up to about 8 to 30 miles 4 days during the week, and 80 to 240 miles each day on the weekends.
I'm aiming for a peak in late July when I should be riding 20 to 60 miles 4 days during the week, and anywhere from 100 to 300 miles each day on the weekends. I'm aiming to ride a 1000 kilometer brevet (75 hour time limit including all breaks) toward the end of July ... probably in England.
Then I'll relax a bit and my mileage will drop back to the April/May level for a little bit.
I'm aiming for a second peak in October so I'll build the mileage back up for the end of October. I'm aiming to ride a 1200 kilometer brevet (90 hour time limit including all breaks) in Australia.
And then I hope to tour Australia for the rest of the year, so I'll probably be doing anywhere from about 50-150 miles a day with the occasional day off.
And YES I do work. I work full time from 8:00-4:30 5 days a week, and often overtime. But I do not have a family so I can spend my time as I please. It's easy to ride that much . . . think about it . . . if you want to do approx 40 miles a day during the work week, my commute is 8 miles, which leaves only 32 left. 32 miles takes just over 2 hours so if I arrive home after work, eat a bit, change bicycles, and head out again at about 6 pm, I can be in by 8:30. That's still early and leaves me a good portion of the evening. When I ride 240-300 miles a day on the weekend, I'm doing brevets.
I should probably also add: I'm a Randonneur - I do long distance cycling. :)

It takes me about 1 hour and 20 minutes to ride 20 miles, and about 3.5 hours to ride 50 miles. That's not that much time!
You could head out by 6pm, and be home by 9:30pm.

You planning to visit South-East Queensland during that time? Some great riding up here, if you can adjust to the heat! Drop me a PM if you want to hook up at any stage.
