Havnt tried this yet, but wanted to ask first, how hard is it to go mountain bike camping, with a backpack so to say, I want to try for a weekend, but with a tent, clothes and all even in a compact backpack, its very akward to go mountian biking, any exoperiances or advice on this???

Was thinking about the same for an extended time, about a week or so. We have some nice MTB trails around in Switzerland ;) I do have a lightweight sleeping bag and I was thinking on leaving the tent away, just use one of these sleeping bag covers to keep it dry (would make sense in Summer only huh?). Otherwise, if you want to take larger amounts of equipment, you may check one of the seatpost-mounted racks that topeak offers for example, but the weight you can put onto these is also limited to about 9 or 10 kg I think.
