Is anyone familiar with Soma Fabrications? Any information (good and bad) is valued, thanks.

Never heard of them. But from what I'm looking at they look nice.

Which of the two are you looking at?

I was looking at the groove. I no longer race, so I am looking for toward a bike that is nimble and strong. Aluminum is a bit too harsh for me.

They've been around for a long while. Definately a Cult following. A Soma road bike was my good buddies first "Real" bike.
You don't see too many around.

Steel generally has some give to it. So drop and stuff on a steal ht feels smoother and less harsh on steel. On aluminum it is damn solid and really kicks you in the ass.

i noticed that steel frames usually have thinner tubing than aluminum ones. Does this pretty much account for the heavier weight of the material or do steel frames still typically weigh more?
