Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

There are no hills here but the 37 thru 103 mile rides start by going over the Talmadge bridge which is a pretty good climb.
anyone here planning to ride in Savannah that weekend?
I did the Century last year and the gripe I had, besides the torrential rain, was the after ride meal.

That ride historically sucks. No maps, no route markers, you just have to know the route. Also, while the Talmedge Bridge is a tough climb, the Hoolihan Bridge going into Port Wentworth has a steel deck and will make hamburger out of you if it is wet. Don't count on the ride organizer for any warning or assistance. SAG is advertised, but not really provided.

This will be my first ride.
Hopefully, the new event organizers will do a better job than the experience you've had.

I just moved from Savannah. I never did that organized ride, but I've ridden a good bit of the route. Have a good time. The 25 should be excellent.
