Other than a chain whip what tools do I need to remove and replace my cassette? I have a scram 9 speed on a trek 7700fx. There are so many lockring removers on the tool sites, I don't have a clue. I plan to install a shimano xt. Can I use the same tools for removal and installation? Thanks, Michael<><

Believe this one will fit the bill.

I've never worked with SRAM cassettes, but I believe they use the same ring tool as Shimano. Call a local shop or the tech dept at Colorado Cyclist or Excel sports.

The SRAM cassettes do use a Shimano compatible lockring. I just put a 12-26 8spd with a Wheels Mfg respacing kit on the rear wheel of my Campy Mirage equipped Bianchi. Works like a champ, and the chrome cassette looks killer with the black hub and spokes.
