I am having to take 2 weeks off of cycling and working out because I just had hair transplants yesterday. Is there anything that you all would suggest that I take to help retain muscle? Amino Acids maybe??

2 weeks isnt' so long...

i would say do as much activity as you are allowed -- if that is only walking, then walk for an hour twice a week... or take the stairs as often as possible... if you can weight train, then do...

but 2 weeks is not long enough to worry about. you might consider eating a little less as you will be burning fewer calories but no other stuff necessary...

Transplants huh? Did you go with the FUE method? How many grafts and sessions are you scheduled for?

I went to Bosley in Atlanta. They did 981 grafts this time. I went a year and a half ago and had 431 grafts at that time, so my total number is 1,412 total grafts in both sessions. I had a receding hair line and the scar from my brain surgery, 10 years ago, was very visible, which was just killing me seeing that in the mirror! In 6 months, the hair should be fully grown in. I can't wait!!!

BTW, what is the FUE method?

FUE - Follicular Unit Extraction - it's the latest method in transplantation. Gives a much more natural hairline as opposed to the older grafts that look like doll hair - which I have from a 1988 procedure. I don't know if Bosley uses this method....

Luckily, they have a new method of chopping up the skin and extract the hair follicles. I paid for 400, but the amount of skin they cut out came to 981, which I was most, most, most happy about!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
