Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. So I cut the wires to my brakes and stopped using them as a cutoff a while ago. (a suggestion from another member) I now realize that having a cutoff is a good thing, so I ordered another set. Now I can't remember which wires they were connected to. The golden motor controller has extra wires coming from it for some reason. I have 3 pairs of wires now that I have to choose from. I thought I remembered which pair and tested the voltage coming from them to see what they were and they are at full voltage. would that be right? I am at a loss.
I am at a loss too. Some of the wires are maybe intended to give you some kind of diagnostic information.
I guess the design of the brake-cutoff wires is going to be (connect the wires)=power off, (disconnect the wires)=power on...
If that is true, I would have guessed they'd be about 5 volts, but I might be wrong, they could be full battery voltage too...
if you're adventurous you could try just connecting wire pairs with your hands (don't connect them too solidly, if you see sparks that are not TINY that means don't connect the wires; you can try the bike to see if connecting the wire pairs puts the brake cutoff into effect)
No guarantees that this won't ruin your controller.

So the one I thought was correct was actually the power meter wires that I forgot all about. I believe that I need the blue and black wires that I cut the connector off of. I remember them being somewhere around 5 volts. I tried wiring some lights to them a while back
